- Every now and then, all of us could use a little bit of extra help with creativity either because we're looking for fresh ideas, new concepts or because we realize we have been using the same old tricks every now and then and we need to expand and our toolbox. So there are three things that I do, that are very helpful. The first one is obvious, watch movies. If you're going to be shooting video, you need to watch how other people do the same. But here's the twist, when I watch a movie, I like to listen to the director's commentaries or could be the producers or the editor, all the information that they share with you, either technical challenges that they had on set or casting or blocking or even in post-production are super, incredibly helpful.
