- [Instructor] In this week's tip, I want to share some important sound tips when you are working with audio inside After Effects, as well as show you the correct way to fade an audio track. Before we begin, I just want to share with you what we are working with. So I'm going to start and press Spacebar, and then After Effects will try to cache the video as well as the audio, and play everything in real-time. (electronic music) And I'm going to pause it immediately, because this is really annoying. After Effects tried to match the audio to the video, and since the video cache is not done yet, we are getting this very weird pitch change in the sound. Now you can control this behavior by going to the Preferences, Previews, this will under Edit Preferences if you are working on the PC, and tick this option: Mute Audio When Preview is Not in Real-time. I'm going to say OK, go back to the beginning, and then After Effects will no longer play the audio, if the video is not ready. So let's…
