Dynamic Trim

- [Instructor] Resolve has a feature called Dynamic Trim Mode. You'll find it here under Trim, Dynamic Trim Mode. And it's letter W. I don't have a cool pneumonic for that yet. I might make it wheel-time or wow, it edits and trims dynamically. I'm going to hit the letter W here to bring that up. You can see my play-head turns yellow. And with this on, when I come to an edit point, say a ripple edit, my J, K, L trees will trim and playback simultaneously. I do want to make sure I have all my auto-selects on, so I'm shift-clicking to turn them on. With the out point of that selected, I'm going to hit J, play backwards, hit K key, pause, L, and play forward. You can see that I'm both trimming and playing simultaneously. Same thing is true if I'm dealing with a split edit. I'm going to click on the edit itself. Again, I don't need to be in trim mode for this one, but certainly that's the way the dynamic trimming works. I can now use J, and L with the K key pausing it, so I can get the…
