Display names and saving bin views

- [Instructor] Display names are such an important concept that I felt a dedicated movie just to this idea was important. The default in Resolve, here let's say I'm on the edit page, and I go to my list view, is to show you the file name of your clips. This isn't useful, 'cause I can't actually rename these files. I'm going to right click up here at the top. I'm going to choose to show the display name. I'm going to say, "You know what? "I'm not going to use the real name." I don't want to see the file name. There's just the display name. I can now rename these shots. So, for example here, I don't need to know this is B-Roll artist sketching. I'm just going to go ahead, let's actually see the clip. There's the artist sketching. I'm just going to write in, Artist Sketching. You might want to go ahead and rename all of your elements. It really depends how fast you have to deliver. I know many editors who, especially with quick turn arounds, don't name the shots. They just use visual…
