Directing virtual camera moves in post

- The director of photography is the director of photography for the entire film. That means that as a cinematographer, your input might be needed for more than just production. A lot of movie workflows these days have a visual effects and a color grading workflow. It's important that you're involved in helping with that process. Visual effects artists often have to recreate elements of cinematography, such as lighting and focal length, in order to composite their work into live action footage. But there's a good chance that the visual effects artists on your film can benefit from your experience and your perception as they try to make elements work together. Another thing that can help is to assist in directing camera moves in post. Now, there were times where we move the camera a little bit in post on The Assurance.
