- Cutting a polished interview video can really bolster your brand and provide some great opportunities for repurposing it in multiple parts of your social media marketing plan. In the previous few videos of this chapter, I've talked about conducting professional interviews and editing everything into a compelling rough cut. Once you cut your video down, it might look something like this. As you can see, lots of edits or jump cuts. And assuming you want everything to look a little more polished, let's talk about some strategies to get you there. The first is the punch-in, and that just means increasing the scaling of the shot at the cut point. When you do this, you're smoothing over the visual discontinuity, and the viewer doesn't perceive the edits as much.
