Communicating with Slack
- Another popular tool that combines project management with instant messaging is Slack. And while it's not quite as full featured as some of the other tools, it is wildly popular in many offices because it's familiar to a lot of the workers. It allows you to organize your team conversations into open or private channels. You can make channels for projects or key tasks within a bigger project. This allows for transparency because everyone can see what's going on. And questions could be quickly asked or answered. You can also react to things by posting short comments or by adding emoticons or emojis, and this allows you to easily share what you're thinking or express concern. Slack also supports a wide range of media files, the ability to put things like Google Docs or videos right in line or attach files. And if you do this, it works quite nicely.
