- So far, we've concentrate on the words you'll use to transmit your message. That's proper, since it all begins with the word, but comedy, like so many other things, is made in the execution. Let's take a look at a couple of nonverbal yet critical elements. The length of your project is more than just its running time. It's the scale by which you must mold and measure your message and your mirth. If you've got the time and money to create a video of any length, that's wonderful. Now, forget about it. Shorter is almost always better, particularly when your primary goal is to impart information. Recent research has shown that after about five minutes, even the most interesting online content begins to bore the viewer.
