- Hi, my name's Rich Harrington. - And I'm Robbie Carman. - And this week we're going to talk about recording a remote interview. Sometimes you're going to be in a situation where a person you need to cut into your video might be in a different office, and these days with smaller budgets and all the travel restrictions that people have, sometimes you just need to get that interview right now. - Yeah, well fortunately this uses technology that in an office environment you're probably already comfortable with. Basically VIOP or video conferencing, right? The idea of using tools like Skype or FaceTime to conduct an interview is, not only an easy way, but obviously it's a very cost-effective way of doing an interview. But just keep in mind, Rich, doing so you might sacrifice a little quality, but for a lot of productions that's okay. - Yeah, and we're going to talk really about different strategies to make it better.
