- Before you go into an interview, I always suggest you check in with your network. There's a good chance that your connections know something about the company. They can give you some insight about the company's professional reputation and a little bit about working with them or where they're viewed in the industry. This insight information will make you seem more knowledgeable and can help you prepare for the interview giving you questions that you can build upon and information that's useful as you prepare yourself. They may also know some people inside the company. Maybe there are former students that went to your university that work there or a colleague that they have past experience with.
