Changing the background

- First, let's address these atrocious white walls. If we change the setup a little, we find that the studio actually has a black wall. That's only slightly less boring, but still better than just plain white. Often, you can get a significantly better image if you just look for other objects at the location to kind of help you build a scene. I usually carry with me a lot of Christmas lights when I shoot something. That way, if the production I'm working on doesn't have any production design or a set design, or anything, we at least have something we can put up to make the scene or shot more interesting. So, that's what we did here. We strung up some Christmas lights behind Lucy's head using C-stands. But, you know, it still looks chintzy, and the Christmas lights look like they're supposed to be part of the scene, but they're actually just supposed to be an accent in the background.
