- This might seem obvious but it isn't. The way we move the camera is the way the viewer's eyes also see the scene. For example, if I'm moving a camera 360 around a subject or object, well, the viewer is moving 360 around the same object or subject. If I move closer to you or further away from you, the viewer is doing the same. So camera movement is a very important consideration because it can add or take a lot from a story. Another example, on one at shaky footage can really lower your production value because it can seem amateurish. There are situations when handholding a camera or shaky footage makes sense but not always. So a very common question and very fair question I often get is which camera support system should I buy first? And the answer is it entirely depends on the kind of assignments you're planning to shoot. But let me give you very specific examples. I personally work mostly on location, run-and-gun style.…
