- After many days or weeks of combing through all of your interviews you'll have identified the good sound bites and from those good sound bites you'll have identified the excellent sound bites, and of course to each of these, you've taken the time to attach smart meta data in the form of labels and markers incorporating important keywords that link back to the main points of your film. It's now that some people begin diving in to the editing process. For me though, I take the interview sound bite organization a step further, and I build theme based select sequences. Let me explain this further. So here's the basic structure of the film that I'm going for. Within each of these sections, I'm going to be exploring certain themes, and so what I'm going to do is build out separate sequences that speak to each of these sections, and I'll do that by laying in my interview sound bites accordingly.
