Archiving the project

- Once the project is done, you need to create an archive. This is essential. Now, it's beyond the scope of this course to talk about project management strategies for your software. But most software tools do have some backup tools, and if you organize the media ahead of time, it's a lot easier to create that backup. However, we can talk about what you need to back up. Always back up your project files. These are the source files, or the instructions. This might be the database for your editing, the Photoshop documents, the Premiere Pro file, et cetera, but without these, it's very difficult to make changes. You also need to back up the source files. Now, not everybody can afford to save all things that went into a project, but you certainly can manage the project and back up the clips that were used.
