Applying effects with adjustment layers
- [Instructor] Adjustment layers are a relatively new feature in Premiere Elements. Using an adjustment layer, you can apply an effect to several video clips at once, to an entire scene, you can apply an effect or several effects to your entire movie at once. And any adjustments or customizations you make to the adjustment layer will be applied to all of the clips at one time. There are a number of ways to create an adjustment layer. The easiest one is just to drag an effect directly onto the monitor panel. I'll show you how that's done, and let's choose a real obvious effect for our movie. We're going to select the old movie look, the old film, and I drag it, rather than down to an individual clip on my timeline, directly onto the monitor panel. And when I let go, I get a little warning saying that, if I apply this effect, it's going to be applied now, to the entire movie, as an adjustment layer.
