Animating a logo with keyframes in After Effects: Part 1
- One of the most controlled environments to animate a logo is Adobe After Effects. It's a motion graphics tool. Now, it allows you to tap into what you've done in Photoshop or Illustrator and bring it to life with greater control and all sorts of effects. Let me show you what's possible. Now, this is just meant to serve as a quick introduction. In this case, I've opened up a project that's already partially built, but then, I'll build it for scratch. In this case, the logo is animating in three pieces, and the background texture is also animated. Well, there's lots of ways to pull this off, but let's explore. When you're ready to import, just double-click in the empty area or choose File Import. Navigate to the lesson folder here and select the logo file, whether that be vector or raster. You could choose to import this as a composition. Then, then you choose Open, it brings it in with the layers intact.…
