Adjusting camera controls

Adjusting camera controls

- Once you have a web camera plugged in, you may want to actually make some adjustments to the image quality. I've got two utilities that really sit in between your web camera and whatever software you're using to do your live broadcast, or webcast, or webinar, and this allows you to make adjustments to the image signal before it leaves your computer. Now, the two tools that I'd like to recommend is iGlasses, which is available only for Mac, and allows you to do quite a bit. For about $20 U.S., it'll allow you to adjust the camera, including add effects, geometrically transform the image, and even save useful presets. Additionally, there is an open source tool called Webcamoid which is available for Mac, PC, and Linux, and this allows you to do other things, including adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation, as well as geometrically transform your web camera and add effects. Let me show you what these could potentially look like. We'll go ahead here and launch the iGlasses…
