- [Narrator] As with many of its products,…with each iteration of Premiere Elements,…Adobe makes more and more of an effort…to add tools that are more intuitive.…Tools that enable you to see how your adjustments…are immediately affecting your audio and your video.…And one of these great new tools…is the Auto Smart Tone tool.…It's one of the adjustment tools, so to get to it,…we select a clip on our timeline.…This particular clip, a little bit dark.…And then we go to the Adjustments button.…Adjustments are at the top of the toolbar on the right.…
And we select Auto Smart Tone.…Now there is an automatic setting for it.…If you click the Apply button, it will automatically apply…it best guess for Auto Smart Tone.…But in most cases, you'll want to use Custom.…So click on Custom, and this will open…the Auto Smart Tone work area.…Now, the adjustments you make here look…a lot like adjustments to brightness and contrast,…and you can think of it as that if you'd like.…However, what's going on in the background…is a little more complicated than that.…
