- We can shoot videos without moving the camera, without color and even without sound, but we can't really make an engaging film without light. More than any other tool or resource, light is our paintbrush and canvas. In corporate and documentary projects, the subject matter includes normal people, actual places and every day things. We usually have very limited flexibility in choosing our subjects or when to shoot them, but we can certainly choose how to light them. We will cover how to tackle a fast pace, high pressure one man gig with a two camera set up where every detail matters, how to light and shoot around the busy workspace, how to be ready to capture the magical evening light to shoot architecture, and how to work fast but also smart by taking advantage of the resources the location offers like using a mirror in an open field with direction light and covering the sun with a very big tree.
