The structure of the shoot
This part's very simple. Every story, whether fiction or non-fiction, documentary or feature, has a beginning, a middle and an end. You can get more exotic with your description and analysis of story of structure and some stories have additional structural elements, perhaps they're episodic for example, but ultimately they all have a beginning, a middle and an end. There are a lot of ways of defining what that means. Define a problem, complicate the problem, solve the problem. Introduce your hero, torture your hero, let the hero off the hook. Introduce your hero and chase him up a tree, throw rocks at him, let him down from the tree. Each of those is simply a different way of expressing beginning, middle and end. Right now, I have no idea what the beginning, middle and end of my piece are and I don't know that it's going to have that, introduce, complicate, resolve structure that you have in a typical fiction story.
