Organizing the DSLR footage
The shooting is all done. I'm at my computer. I'm ready to start editing. Before I really get started in post-production though, there's kind of a pre-post-production that I need to do. I guess you argue that this is actually, technically, part of post-production. I've got all my media copied over. I had cards from two cameras. I had cards from my outboard audio recorder. I've got all that in there and I have to get it all organized, which was a bit of a chore but I've got them, I've got them all in one folder now and I've titled them based on what they were. So I've got a, a mess of movies from in his house when he was at the computer. I've got him working in his office, I've got posters from his office, I've got performance footage, I've got post-it note footage, I've got all of that. Some things had two cameras, like the interview footage, I had two different shots of the same bits and so I have labeled those camera A and camera B, so that I know that these two movies right here…
