- I hope this course has given you a better sense of the video production and editing process, as well as some of the core skills you'll need to create great work. In the Playlist Center you'll find a playlist called Write and Shoot Great Video. This playlist will give you an introduction, overview, and deeper dive into what goes on behind the camera and in front of the computer when creating video projects. We've touched on a lot of topics, but at a pretty high level, so subscribe to that playlist and take a closer look at these important areas. Editing video is a technical and artistic process, and to get started the very best place to begin is Ashley Kennedy's Introduction to Video Editing.
When you're ready to choose an editing software, our Essential Training series for each of the major packages are a great place to continue. The Essential Training series have been designed for those who are new to a topic, so they cover all of the essentials and will prepare you to step out with confidence. Video production and editing is an incredible field. As your ability to create bigger and better stories increases, the more options you'll have. And remember, the more you shoot, the more you edit, the better you'll get. So never stop practicing.
