Crafting the DSLR project idea
I've got this thing that I want to shoot. A friend of mine named, Steven Carran, who is a very gifted actor and theatrical improviser is preparing a solo performance for a theater in northern California. So, my idea is to create a promo video that he can put on his website to help promote the show. I'm seeing it as a roughly three minute video; that would include an interview with him, as well as shots of him rehearsing and, ideally, footage of what the final show would look like. Now, Stephen has a fairly loyal base of fans and his producers have a nice big mailing list that they can use to promote the show, so I know that my audience already has some idea of who he is. And what they might be able to expect from a show put on by him. They know that he can be extremely funny and that he's a great physical comedian.
