Color grading the final piece
When you shoot stills with your SLR, you almost always have to do a little bit of image correction, color correction, tonal correction to the images. If you're shooting raw, you absolutely have to add some sharpening. But you've probably found that you need to do a little adjustment, the black and the white, to get your contrast right. And maybe you need to do a little color correction depending on the white balance on your camera and so and so forth. When you should video with your SLR, you get the exact same situation, it's the rare bit of video that doesn't need some tone and color correction applied to it. So I have taken a step now of color rating, my finished video locked piece here. I have come to a different set up than where i was editing before, because those IMAX screens are really glossy and I don't like doing color work on them.
