Trimming the portal to the ground

- So we've got our portal animation in and it's tracking very well with our background. But we now we need to trim it to the ground level. Now because this is a 3D render we can't trim the output of the Scanline Render node cause that's constantly moving around. That means we have to go back into the original 2D element and trim it so that it appears to sit right on the ground plane. Well let's move our Viewer node up into the area we'll be working and... Let's start with the portal rays. We'll push in here. So we have to look at the 2D part before it goes to the render, so here we are. So let's select this Grade node. I'll type O to add a Roto node. And let's label this "trim to ground". Back to the Roto tab. And let's select a Rectangle. And I'm just going to guesstimate where it'll probably go. Something like that. Next we have to say the output of this Roto will be rgba cause I need to erase all four channels. And we'll set the Shape color to black. Okay now I have erased all four…
