Animating the flashes

- Now we're ready to set the timing of the Mantis red light reflection in the Grade Node. To speed things along, I've collected the flash timing information in this BackdropNode. What I did was, I cruised to the shot and found the frames that had maximum red flash on them, and those are the frames we want to hit our Mantis with big red glint. So, we're going to have to animate this red flashing and we'll do that here by animating the mix node. So let's go to our first key frame, which is 25, and by the way, I'm going to clear the Property bin of the Roto Node, so we just have our Grade Node here. OK, so frame 25 is our first key frame, so I'm going to set a key frame for frame 25 of the mix parameter. Our next frame is 69, so let's jump to 69, add a key frame, jump to 110, another key frame, jump to 151, key frame, and then 194, key frame. All right, so we want the mix to be 1 on those key frames and 0 everywhere else. So, let's do that in the Curve Editor. I'll jump to my first key…
