- We've got our portal ray animation here as a 2D animation, and now're going to put it on a card, put it in 3-space, and line it up with our shot. To start, let's take a look at our line-up card and the camera in 3D. There's our card. There it is. You'll recall we set this card in our scene, lined it up with the point cloud so that this end of the card was lined up with the pillars, so that's where we want to put the card for all our portal animation effects is right at this end of the line-up card. We'll start by selecting the grade node and going over to the 3D, Geometry, Card. You'll notice we have the rays are now on the card already. Let's get the orientation of the card correct by setting Orientation to (y, z). Then we can pull the card back to the end of our line-up card. Let's switch to a top view by typing C on the keyboard. We'll come in here and put this right at the end of our line-up card. Back to perspective by typing V on the keyboard. Next, how big should it be? Let's…
