A quick look at the Sony a7R II
- Now the other Sony version of the alpha series is the a7R. And the a7R mark two is the one that does internal 4K, whereas the first version didn't. So that's a new improvement on the R. Now why would somebody choose the R over the S? Well Rich, you're a still photographer, so you probably have a very good motivation to pick maybe the R mark two over the S. - Yeah, there's lots of benefits actually. I mean, you'll see it looks very similar to the camera. Mind you, this camera's a bit more tricked out, but the only real distinction is on the front where it says a7R or a7S. But yeah, the a7R mark two is kind of a balance. You get that ability to shoot really high quality stills much larger in the megapixel count, going around 42 megapixels, and other options in between, but as I look at it it still has the ability for 4K internal recording. So I like having lots of cameras, I have a need with a video production company to use lots of cameras, but I pick this one up if I'm gonna be out…
