- For this course we decided to narrow our focus to mirrorless 4K recording. I wanna quickly explain what mirrorless is. Mirrorless cameras are a new type of technology that's risen in popularity. These cameras don't need to actually bounce the signal into a mirror to an optical viewfinder, rather the image is directly hitting the sensor. And we've seen a lot of popularity in this format in the world of photography. It also unlocks new opportunities for video, and that's what we're focusing on here. Now there are lots of other 4K cameras on the market, as well as professional video cameras that shoot 4K and consumer cameras, like smartphones and GoPros. We're gonna primarily focus in this course on Panasonic and Sony cameras, looking at really their flagship cameras, but a couple of times we actually dip into a few other smaller cameras that are cheaper and still pretty good.
