- As we start to attach heavier lenses, it becomes important that they're supported. While this may be able to hold this, over time the extra weight can be pulling forward. Plus, ergonomically, it's just kind of hard to hold this. It tends to tilt, right? - One of the things I found is I do more shooting with these lightweight cameras is that the lens can be the heaviest thing in the kit. The camera's often the lightest thing so ergonomically that's putting all the weight forward and it's stressing your forearms and it's causing stress that you're not really benefiting from the light camera anymore because of the front heaviness of the lens. - Yeah and it can also be dangerous for the camera itself. For example, the front of this camera, while there's a metal ring in here, lot of times the material are lighter grade. It's designed to hold really a DSLR style lens or a Micro Four Thirds or Sony lens and these are just not designed to hang really heavy things out front so it can be a…
