Using VRayFur
- What we're going to do in this video is take a look at a Vray tool that can be used to create some very simple, and yet very nice, render time effects such as fur, hair, and grass with a minimum of fuss. This being the aptly named VrayFur tool. We do already have a number of VrayFur effects applied to our toy bear geometry in the scene although we can't as of yet see them because our VrayFur objects currently reside on a hidden layer. If i go ahead and turn that on by clicking the lightbulb icon in the layer explorer we instantly see all of our VrayFur effects appear in the viewpoint. We could typically select VrayFur in the scene by left clicking on any geometry that has it applied. Although oftentimes working with the helper objects may prove to be a better option as opposed that is to trying to select directly in the viewpoint. Once we select a VrayFur object we can jump into the modified tab of the command panel in order to gain access to all of the controls and parameters that…
