What if you have work you can’t share?

- [Voiceover] At some point in their career, most designers will do work that they won't be able to share publicly. Every company and every job has different legal requirements, but often simply comes down to having signed a non-disclosure agreement. It's difficult to hire someone as a UX designer if they don't have a portfolio, or can't demonstrate their design thinking and the practical application of that thinking into a user interface. There's a few ways to handle this. You can share your work privately. Some employers may have clauses allowing you to share your work privately or with limitations. You might be able to password protect your portfolio or share the work on a one-on-one basis with a recruiter or member of the design team. Another option is to anonimize the work you've done.
