- In many cases, the outcomes of card sorts and tree tests don't need to be presented on their own because you'll use the information to help inform your information architecture pursuits such as creating site maps and workflows or establishing naming conventions. Keep in mind that the results of a card sort aren't going to be a finalized site structure or taxonomy for you to follow to a t. Rather, you'll have some more clarity into how people conceptualize your information where there is a lot of overlap and where you still have open questions. For the open questions, you may then want to followup with additional user research such as contextual inquiries or task analyses. You will also likely want to plan followup card sorts and tree tests once you have proposed solutions and structures.
