- [Instructor] Paper prototyping is a really fast and flexible technique for mocking up a user interface. Because you haven't invested so much time and energy in creating it, the team are much more likely to consider making changes and trying alternative designs when something doesn't appear to work too well for users. If the design had already been produced in Photoshop or in code, team members would be much more reluctant to make changes because of the higher amount of effort required. It's also much cheaper and faster than trying to create the same interface using code. It doesn't take coding skills so all members of the team can get involved. This means you can have creative input from a larger group of individuals which, as we saw in the ideation course, is usually a good thing. It's amazing how many pieces of the interaction don't get designed at all in traditional development projects. Instead, it's up to whoever is writing the code to come up with solutions.
