- Hello, I'm Chris Nodder. Welcome to this course on making user experience happen on a team. If you're in a user experience role or manage a user experience team, you're probably familiar with the challenges of getting your colleagues interested in user experience. I've been coaching and training user experience teams for over 10 years now. During that time, I've worked out some of the things that really make development and business team members pay attention to what usability and user experience can offer them. In this course, we're going to cover practical tips that will help you integrate onto teams, engage with people in business roles, and sell your value to executives.
It all focuses on being user-centric and data-driven. Once you help the team to see things from real users' perspectives, while staying in their own comfort zone, you'll find they're all much more receptive to user-centered design changes. Once you start talking real cost savings and risk avoidance with your business colleagues, they'll quickly get on board. The best thing about the ideas in this course is that most of them won't mean a change in how you work, just a change in how you capture some key metrics and how you promote your work.
In fact, this course could help you to reduce your workload and focus more of your time on the projects that really matter. So let's get started.
