- Hello, I'm Chris Nodder. Welcome to Foundations of UX, Usability Testing. Usability testing is an activity that every software development team should perform early and often with their sites and products. It's the fastest and easiest way to find out whether the thing you plan on delivering will meet your user's needs. That includes whether it behaves the way they expect, whether it gives them what they wanted, and whether they can even work their way through your screens. There's a big difference between having a good idea for a product or service and actually delivering it in a way that people want to use.
Usability Testing makes sure you're on track. This course doesn't make any assumptions about your background, although it's primarily aimed at people who work in, or are learning about software design and development. Usability Testing is a highly sought after skill, and this course provides a solid grounding in how to run a typical study. This course has practical tips on how to schedule, design, and run your own usability test, and then apply what you learned to your own product.
Now, I want to help you learn how to run your own usability tests so that you can make your users even happier. So with that, let's get started.
