The light dome blueprint, part 1
- [Instructor] So we have seen how the VRAY Sun & Sky System works inside Unreal but there is another light type that is often times used by VRAY users to create natural looking daylight scenarios. This being the dome light all light dome as it is titled in Unreal. Now the basic principle of the VRAY light dome is something Unreal users will already be familiar with. As it is essentially just an Unreal skylight with VRAY features added on. So it is still a light type that cast light inwards on the scene from aspherical or hemispherical lighting environment that is wrapped around it. A big use for this light being for creating image based lighting scenarios using panoramic HDI images as lighting environments. To add a light dome actor to the level, we can again either work through the modes and VRAY asset sections or come to the VRAY for Unreal content BP and actor sections in the content browser.
