World Outliner - Unreal Engine Tutorial
From the course: Unreal Essential Training (2019)
World Outliner
- [Instructor] The world outliner panel contains all of the actors in a scene in a branching tree of folders, groups, parents, and children. At the top of the window is the search bar. You can use this to filter out a scene in surface-buried assets. A helpful hint is you can use plus and minus befor a term to force an exact match, or exclude a word from your search. Right click in the info tab and you can add an additional column of information to sort by, such as asset type. Once you find the asset you're looking for, select it and double click to center the view port on it. You can also hit control + b to automatically pull it up in the content browser. You can also simply edit its properties directly from the details panel. The world outliner is a comprehensive account of a level and everything in it. If you learn to lean on this, you'll never need to look far for an asset.
