Welcome

- [Instructor] Welcome, I'm Scott Pagano and in this course we're gonna take a look at how to build out a real time 3D motion graphics style scene in an Unreal Engine for deployment on VR headsets. We're gonna start off in Maya where we're gonna look at some pre-animated scenes we're gonna provide for you and look at the proper exporting process out of Maya and importing process into Unreal. Then we're gonna move into the real nuts and bolts of this course which is building a series of different blueprints that provide all the interactivity and logic under the hood to make our scene work properly in VR. We're gonna start of first with the HTC Vive headset because that's a great way to be able to use the live, realtime VR previewing in an Unreal Engine to be able to develop our scene and preview it with ease. Then we're gonna make a bunch of tweaks and look at a bunch of other settings and installs we need to do to get everything worked out and set up to be able to deploy our scene on an Android phone to use with Gear VR. So we'll look at the high-end platform with the Vive and then we'll look at the mobile platform on an Android phone with Gear VR. So if you're coming from a motion graphics background and you have 3D experience in that realm, this will add a lot of other great tools into your toolkit to explore some other news realms of work.
