- [Instructor] Having gotten a basic idea of just how a retraced render engine gathers information from a scene so as to produce an image from it, what we're going to do in this chapter is discuss and demonstrate the options available in the Unreal UI that can help us exercise a measure of control over the retrace, and so image-quality process. Most of which can be found in the settings dialogue, and so let's go ahead and open that up if it isn't already. The first of the options found in the common section, which is what we will focus on in this video, is the interactive toggle which switches the engine between rendering in interactive and production modes. With one in needing to be reiterated here that features such as light cache and on demand MIP mapping won't work whilst using the interactive mode. With this option enabled, though, what we can do is kick off a render in the V-ray frame buffer window.…
