- [Instructor] Once we're satisfied with the state of our project, we're going to want to share it with our friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, or maybe just friends. If you're like me, you probably have precious few friends who actually have Unreal Engine 4 and know how to use it. So first, we need to compile our project into a standalone format that can run on just about any computer. In order to do that, we have a few steps we need to take in order to prepare the project for standalone distribution. In my experience, this is a two-step process. First, all the content is cooked for Windows or whichever platform we choose. This is essentially baking all the code into a format that's easier for the operating system to process.
