Material Parameter Collections

- [Instructor] Now what we're gonna do is we're gonna set up a material collection parameters node and this is basically a node that allows us to communicate from blueprints to materials by setting up specific variables that we can have channels to and this is great for adding interactivity to materials. So let's go to our Content. I'm gonna go into our Materials folder, I'm gonna right-click and under Materials and Textures, you can see we have a Material Parameter Collection. So I'm gonna make that and I'm just gonna call this mat_parameter. Actually, let's call it mat_parameters. Okay. So let's open that up. And this is a special little node that just allows us to make certain scalar or vector parameters that can then be fed in the materials. And so in thinking about the things that'd be really useful to show and that would allow the most flexibility with materials, what we're gonna do is we're basically gonna have each of the buttons on the right Vive controller trigger a scalar…
