Lightmap resolutions

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to look at how we can adjust the resolution of a subjects light map, and giving us the ability to craft of a per object basis. The level of detail needed in a scene in order to get a good lighting bake. And as we are only working with a single product here, we can use quite a high resolution for it's light map. Although it should be noted that the higher the resolution, the longer our lighting build will take. The first area that we will tackle then, is the surface on which our product is standing. For either the world out liner or the 3D view, let's select the mesh. And in the details tab, locate the lighting rollout, putting a check in the override light map res option. Unless you mean that it isn't checked already. We will use a setting of 2048 here, which is pretty high resolution, but as we want to capture the shadow of the product on the surface as accurately as possible, we can get away with using this value in such a simple setup…
