- [Instructor] All right, so let's get started creating some thumbnails here. What I'm going to do is just use my brush that I've created. I've got my Hard Light set around 72% and I just want to create some volume here. The thing that I'm doing right now is, I'm not lifting my brush, I'm just using the brush, but holding it down as I move it around the canvas and pushing a little bit harder and softer as I move it. Then once you pick it up, what happens is is that it starts basically a new sort of stroke and it will be much darker. The very first thing I want to do is just create this volume of space that I'm going to work in. Okay, I've lifted up my brush now, I'm not pressing, and now I can come in and start thinking about where the walls might be, and just using these spaces that I've created as an indication of the walls. I like those rough edges. As I had in my reference materials from the morgue file, I really liked those roughed edge, broken down ruins of castles, and I think…
