Learn about the process of creating thumbnails and using the brush tool.
- [Instructor] All right, so let's get started creating…some thumbnails here.…What I'm going to do is just use my brush that I've created.…I've got my Hard Light set around 72%…and I just want to create some volume here.…The thing that I'm doing right now is,…I'm not lifting my brush, I'm just using the brush,…but holding it down as I move it around the canvas…and pushing a little bit harder and softer as I move it.…Then once you pick it up, what happens is…is that it starts basically a new sort of stroke…and it will be much darker.…
The very first thing I want to do is just create this…volume of space that I'm going to work in.…Okay, I've lifted up my brush now, I'm not pressing,…and now I can come in and start thinking…about where the walls might be,…and just using these spaces that I've created…as an indication of the walls.…I like those rough edges.…As I had in my reference materials from the morgue file,…I really liked those roughed edge,…broken down ruins of castles,…and I think that's a really good way to go…
