- [Voiceover] There are many terms that are important to understand when discussing content creation for virtual reality. These terms can refer to specifications, measurements, and general overall performance data. Let's take a look at a few key terms. Refresh rate. This is the number of frames per second the screen, or screens, will display. Virtual reality head-mounted displays currently display at 60 to 120 hertz. What this means in the end, just to simplify it in a basic equation, is that a higher refresh rate equals better overall VR performance. Just to put this simply, anything below 60 hertz right now, is going to result in a very uncomfortable virtual reality experience. The end goal is that you want as high a refresh rate as you can possibly get. Let's take a look at resolution. This is a measurement of pixel width versus height of screens used in head-mounted displays. Now, if you're familiar with any normal displays, you know a television or a display monitor for example…
