- [Instructor] The tools for creating compelling and effective visualizations have come a long way. Let's take a look at the ways that Unreal Engine provides very powerful tool sets to create effective and compelling visualizations. Multiple presentation possibilities exist within Unreal Engine, whether it be real-time interactive playable content, or perhaps it's rendering out imagery, or video content directly out of Unreal Engine. Rapid iterations and possibilities exist within Unreal Engine for changes, right? Things like experiencing a design during the daytime versus how it may operate or visually appear in nighttime, which could be a completely different lighting scenario and even a design scenario in how it feels or is experienced.
Materials, things like swapping out different fabrics or tiles or slates. Large scale construction changes. Changing walls or even pieces of equipment in an industrial complex. Another thing that's great about Unreal Engine is the ability to expand into other experiences. This idea of immersive realities, right? Being able to take your visualization and experience this in a virtual reality setting or an augmented reality setting or a mixed reality setting. If a visualization project is planned properly, there's no reason why it can't produce all of these goals.
Beautiful still images, video, a playable, interactive game format, and an immersive virtual reality experience. Something that allows for a whole new way of experiencing a visualization. Unreal Engine provides excellent real-time rendering and interactive capabilities. So whether it is this playable game format or this gamification of a visualization or design or this immersive virtual reality experience or perhaps it's a real-time changing of designs, this gross large-scale changing of construction areas, walls or equipment, the height of a ceiling, the ability to provide the tools to a viewer to interact with a design before it's even physically constructed to help with that design process is incredibly powerful.
And of course, Unreal Engine brings with it an industry proven history of development, right? So you have, of course, Unreal Engine within the games world, but we're also seeing Unreal Engine now in just about every other industry now. You're seeing Unreal Engine in short film production and even larger film production. Realtime television series production, it really is limitless what's happening with Unreal Engine and how powerful the actual core of the engine is as well as the beautiful visuals that are constantly improving and expanding all the time.
So Unreal Engine has certainly proven itself as a games tool. We're now seeing Unreal Engine expand those boundaries into becoming this truly immersive, a way of experiencing visualizations for designs and that overall ability to tell a compelling design story.
