In this video Scott walks you through importing a camera created in Maya into Unreal Editor via Matinee. Due to the coordinate system difference in Maya and Unreal Editor we will need to rotate the entire imported camera animation. Scott will show you a simple and easy way to do this to have our camera animation created in Maya perfectly match as intended in Unreal Editor.
- [Voiceover] In this video we're gonna take the camera…that we've exported from Maya and bring that into our scene,…so we can have our same synced camera movement…in Unreal that we developed in Maya.…So first off I want to call out that under this…My Project section of the Epic launcher,…these icons might look different and there…might be more chapters in here than…what we have right now, cos we're gonna…be building these along the way, and as we develop…these scenes Unreal is gonna automatically generate…new icons of whatever our last state was.…So the main point here is don't worry if these…don't look exactly like yours do…when you receive these files.…
Just know that you just need to be in the right chapter…that we're working in, obviously right now…we're in Chapter Two.…So I'm gonna open up that guy.…Okay, so let's go to our content browser…and let's open our Chapter Two O Eight level.…Excellent, this is the scene we've put together…with all of our geometry in place.…And now we're gonna wanna add a camera in.…
