Export FBX from Maya
- [Narrator] Now we have the stem of our flower bound to joints which are animated for this growth which we've covered. And so what we want to do now is we want to export this properly as an FBX file for import into Unreal Editor. Okay so I'm going to select my stem and then control click to select the stem and the joints in the outliner. I will go to file, game exporter. There's a bunch of options here we need to go through. Again under the model tab, we'll make sure export selection is on, smoothing groups is on, tangents and binormals is on, skinning is on. We'll leave blend shapes on, doesn't matter even though there aren't any in this particular file. And all this can be left as is as you see on the screen. So we'll go to animation clips. And we want to again make sure that export selection is selected in this menu, we're going to click on this green plus sign here to get an animation clip to embed the animation within this FBX file.
