Tom Sirdevan, look developer and lighting artist, continues with the procedural/dynamic sky using Blueprint and the Material Editor, this time adding a procedural sun with a customizable size and color. He also shows how you can connect the rotation of your directional light to the sky material to determine the position of the sun in the sky.
- [Voiceover] Continuing on.…We're gonna make a sun for a sky now.…So I'm gonna go to the Environment Blueprint.…I'll make this full screen.…And I'm gonna add another…one of these Set Vector Parameter Values.…So Set Vector Parameter Value on Material.…And I'll plug it in the top output…into the top input of this guy.…I'm gonna call this first parameter, Sky Direction.…
So sorry, it's gonna be Sun Direction.…I have sky in the mind.…Sun Direction…and there's a couple of other sun properties…that we want to control.…So, I'm gonna make a couple more of these.…So Set Vector Parameter Values on Material again.…Do the same thing.…This parameter is going to be called, Sun Color.…
And then we're gonna make one more.…This time, it's gonna be a Scalar Parameter.…So Scalar just means a single number…instead of a Vector which will be three numbers.…Scalar also usually refers to a floating point number…which you can also think of as a decimal point number.…And I'm gonna do the same thing again.…And this time, I will call this parameter name,…
