Build flower blend shapes in Maya
- [Instructor] Now that we've taken a look at how to build a very, very basic blendShape in Maya, we're going to take a look at now how to do the same thing but with a production geometry that we're going to use for this course. What we have here is, we have a flower that has opened and bloomed and then we have its closed-up bud version here on the left. This is exactly the same thing as the previous movie, but this just shows the process with more complicated geometry. Everything is the same. These things have been modeled with more care so that the open and closed version are topologically similar and have the same number of points and the points have just been moved and modeled and modified around to change their positions between the two forms. OK, what we're going to do here is I'm going to go to the flower, closed. I'm going to change its Translate X to zero to zero it out. On the open I'm going to change this to zero to zero it out.
